Nasal Consonant Sounds /m/ /n/ /ŋ/ – with Audio Pronunciation

Nasal consonant sounds are those CONSONANT SOUNDS produced by blocking air flow through the mouth while allowing it to pass through the nose instead.

Nasal consonant sounds

1. Consonant /m/ sound

It is pronounced with your teeth apart but lips together and the back of your tongue almost touching your soft palate (roof) of your mouth.

2. Consonant /n/ sound

It is pronounced with your teeth apart, lips apart, and the tongue touching the hard palate (roof) of your mouth.

3. Consonant /ŋ/ sound

It is pronounced with your teeth apart, lips apart and the back of your tongue touching the soft palate (roof) of your mouth.
