Writing the Date of a Letter in WAEC | NECO | GCE (7 Easy Steps)

Format of date of a letter in WAEC NECO GCE

Write it (on the next line) immediately under the writer’s address, still at the right-hand side of your writing page.

  • Start with that DAY’S NUMBER in figures.
    • 7
  • Write the figure in a POSITION format.
    • 7th.
  • Write the MONTH in words (capitalize its first letter).
    • 7th October
  • Insert a comma after the month.
    • 7th October,
  • Write the YEAR in figures.
    • 7th October, 2024
  • Put a FULL STOP at the end.
    • 7th October, 2024.

Extra tip on the date in WAEC letter writing

Remember to write this date immediately under the writer’s address.

While the address ends with a full stop, the date ends with its own separate full stop too.
