Consonant /h/ sound is pronounced like a short “ha” or the panting of a dog.

It is a voiceless because there is no vibration in your throat when you pronounce it.

🔕 Silent consonant /h/ occurs when it comes after ‘r’ or letter ‘g’ and sometimes before ‘o’.

It is also silent in words like “oh, heir, vehicle, exhaust, shepherd, cheetah, etc.”
