Consonant /ʃ/ sound is pronounced like that sound you make when you are telling someone to be quiet — “shhh“.

It is popular in words with –sh-.

Similar to consonant /tʃ/ sound, this shhh sound /ʃ/ is also “voiceless”. So there is NO vibration in your throat when pronounced.
