Consonant Sound /ð/ with Examples (+Video and Quiz)

Consonant /ð/ sound is pronounced by putting the tip of your tongue between your front teeth and pushing air out through your mouth.

It is voiced because there is a vibration in your throat when you pronounce it, unlike CONSONANT SOUND /θ/.

It sounds like a phone vibrating on a glass table.

Some examples of words with consonant /ð/ sound

📒 Voiced consonant /ð/ is common in words with (–the–) while the voiceless /θ/ is in words with (–th–).
